Before leaving, stop services on:	Return:

Telephone	Other borrowed items
Water
Gas	Obtain:
Electricity	Refunds on any deposits made
Fuel oil	Transcripts of children's grades
Water softner	Credit references
Laundry	Medical records of X-rays, shots, eyeglass perscriptions
Milk	Items borrowed from you
Bakery	Dry cleaning, laundry, shoes at repair shop
Newspaper
Lawn	To Do:
Diapers	Defrost refrigerator freezer, arrange for service to get appliances ready for move
Garbage collection	Transfer bank account, empty safety desposit box (if leaving town)
Review check stubs for other services to be stopped	Buy travelers checks to cover expenses
Cancel homeowners insurance	Notify local post office of forwarding address
Make sure insurance on personal possessions is in force during and after the move.	Write letter of introduction to new place of worship

Change addresses for:	Moving Day
Magazines	Leave keys to house with sales associate or neighbors
Book clubs	Make arrangements for care of children and pets
Catalogs	Assmeble a moving kit to take with you (hammer, nails, pliers, masking tape, tape measure, flashlight, fuses, cloths, scissors)
